Occurences during the rain

The weather in Cagayan de Oro is the worst one I have ever experienced. Water sprouts are formed because of too much rain and wind, and flash floods are expected (and are happening) in the city. And we can't do anything about it but be alert and wise in whatever we do.

I wish the rain would stop. It's scaring me already. And I'm not the only one--I'm sure a number of the people in this city are. Even my dog Bailey is scared. I can tell. She was lying down on a cooler and she looked horrified. I patted her and she stared at me with those puppy eyes. She reaches for my hand, so I held her paw. I tried to let go of it coz I was about to go inside the house, but she cried and reached for my hand again. Her eyes looked so scared.

See? Even my dog is scared. And I'm sure she senses happenings like these before it happens.

It is also during this time that I learn to appreciate RMN stations of the radio. Yes, the DJs speak dialeque/Bisaya and it does sound a bit cheap, but hey, they're media do their jobs and who are actually attaining their goals on giving information to the public. Most of the Cagayan de Oro residents speak Bisaya, and communication should be delivered in a way that the public will be able to understand.

BUT. It still doesn't give me any relief. All these information, theories, paranoia, and alertness--they don't give me any assurance that all this will be over. Until I found this (go ahead, click it!)

January 17, you are our only hope. Please come sooner.
